Festival Choir
Individuals who enjoy singing, but cannot make a long-term commitment, are invited to sing in the Festival Choir. Joining St. Luke's other choirs, the Festival Choir usually sings an Evensong in the Fall and a Requiem on Good Friday. Members are also welcome to sing with the choir for the 10:30 p.m. Choral Prelude and 11 p.m. "Christ Mass" on Christmas Eve.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for about a month before the event.
2009 – 2010 Program Year events
Evensong for All Saints' Day – Sunday, Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.
Rehearsals are Thursdays, Oct. 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to noon. Warmup Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m.
Christmas Eve "Christ Mass" – Thursday, Dec. 24 at 10:30 p.m.
Rehearsals are Thursdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. Dress rehearsal is Dec. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
Gabriel Fauré's "Requiem" – Good Friday, April 2, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.
Rehearsals are Thursdays, Feb. 25, March 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to noon. Dress rehearsal is April 2 at 3 p.m.
