Like to work with wee ones?
Nursery care for our youngest members is an important part of Sunday mornings at St. Luke's. Since our current nursery staff is headed to college this fall, we are looking for applicants who can commit to working on Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Previous childcare experience is required and nursery care providers will complete Safe Church training. This is a paid position and teens are welcome to apply. For an application or more information, please call Sally McClaskey at 740-587-0506.
Hunger Hurts!
During the month of August, donations of macaroni & cheese, canned beans or canned veggies are encouraged for the Food Pantry Network.
Friday Feeders
Our group will be going to Mimi's Cafe Friday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. Mimi's is at 1428 Polaris Parkway, Columbus. We were able to make reservations so there should be no wait. Mimi's has tasty, reasonably priced food and very good service. Come and enjoy the French atmosphere — see you there!
Looking ahead to August
The Annual Beer & Barbecue at the Porch House Bed & Breakfast is Saturday, Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Prices are $25/person or $45/couple. Every dollar benefits the Back-to-School Program of the New Beginnings Domestic Violence Center. To reserve a spot, call 740-587-1995.
Checks may be made out to St. Luke's Church with "B&B" written on the memo line.
