Thankfulness
Market Street Pantry…
January and the beginning of a new year is a timely crossroads for reflection. A feeling of thankfulness can emerge. Turns out that thankfulness is a strong and recurrent theme in the operation of our food pantry. Many of our clients tell us how thankful they are that Market Street Pantry is open on Saturdays when most pantries are closed. They are also thankful that our pantry lets them choose the food they want instead of just being handed some food items pre-selected by others. Our volunteers also become thankful as they realize their work efforts are much appreciated by clients.
In addition, Market Street is thankful to its major donors for their gifts:
The Food Pantry Network of Licking County for their large food donations.
Our volunteers for their work at the pantry.
St Lukes and Trinity Newark Members for their food and cash donations.
Trillium Farms for its large weekly egg donations.
Denison University’s Swim and Diving team for raising substantial food and cash donations at their swim meets for the benefit of Market Street Pantry.
