Seeking Donations For Freshman Care Packages

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP!

ST LUKE’S FRESHMAN CARE PACKAGES:
This fall St. Luke’s sends 5 of our young adults off to their first year at college. They are Sophie Gelormo, Sophia Tidwell, Alexa Minton, Thomas Scheetz and Nicholas Havill.  

In years past our first years have told us how much it meant for them to receive a package and notes from home.

We are asking parishioners to donate items for care packages that will be sent to each student at the end of September. A collection box will be available each week through September 29th. In addition to suggestions listed below, past recipients have thoroughly enjoyed a personal, handwritten note from their church family.  Please consider taking a moment to write a phrase or two of encouragement.

 We are asking for the following items to be donated (nothing perishable please):

Pre-Packaged snacks, cookies and chips
Gum
Instant hot chocolate, tea or coffee packets
Beef jerky
Candy
Popcorn packets
Dry soup packets
Pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters 
Hand sanitizer, Chap Stick
Post-its
Easy Mac, Macaroni and Cheese
Other quick, microwaveable, easy meals or snacks
