Special Celebration Of Passover

For Passover, we remember the story of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt. It is a festival to celebrate freedom and salvation. This weeklong festival begins with a Seder, a special, ordered service, where we experience the Exodus through hearing, tasting, telling, smelling, and doing.

The word Seder means, "Order,” as in, “order of service.” Danyelle Phelps invites you to celebrate the Seder with her. We will celebrate in the same ancient tradition that it has been through thousands of years, since the first Passover, with only a few exceptions. On this night, in Jewish and Christian homes around the world, Passover is a special time of joyous celebration.

Passover begins this year at sundown on Wednesday, April 5th. Because sundown is so late and it is the middle of Holy Week, we will not be serving dinner. We will also begin before sundown so as to end at a reasonable hour.

We will gather at Danyelle’s home at 6:30 PM and we will begin the Seder by 7:00 PM. Though we will not have dinner, sweets and deserts for celebration will be served. The Seder will conclude before 9:00 PM. Please note that wine will be served (also grape juice). Because there are special “rules” observed about what we eat and drink at a Seder, there is no need to bring anything – all will be provided!

Also, please be aware that she has cats at home (in case anyone is allergic).

Please let Danyelle know if you plan to come. She will share her address with you. Please text Danyelle Phelps at 901-355-1283, or email at environmentalleader@yahoo.com.
