Mental Health In The Time Of COVID
On November 15 at our Coffee: Grounds for Discussion Zoom gathering, Penny Sitler, the executive director of Mental Health America Licking County, gave a wonderful and informative talk on mental health in general and specifically in this time of coronavirus and physical isolation. Even in a "normal" year, statistics show that 20% of the U.S. population deals with mental health issues, but experts are seeing an increase in social disconnection this year.
The website of the local office of Mental Health America is MHALC.org/resources and is an excellent place to start for answers to questions, screening tools, links to talk to a mental health professional, etc.
