A HUGE THANK YOU AND A HUGE SUCCESS!

Just before Thanksgiving, Bill Wilken approached me at the Market Street Pantry and offered to purchase 100 Turkey Breasts for our clients. Co-Director, Christy Charvat and I accepted his gracious offer and proceeded to purchase every 3# Turkey Breast we could find. (I think in all we traveled to 6 Aldi Grocery Stores!)

The volunteers made up bags containing - stuffing, jars of gravy, corn bread mix, mashed potatoes and of course – a 3# turkey breast. We handed them out to our clients on the Wednesday and Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Our clients were thrilled! A warm and thoughtful gesture by the Wilken’s made over 60 families very thankful!
