2021 Operation Feed
2021 Operation Feed Campaign
The 31st annual Operation Feed Campaign began on March 1 and will run through March 22. “The Operation Feed Campaign generates approximately 10% of the food and 25% of the funding needed annually by the Food Pantry Network of Licking County. The need for a successful campaign is just as great this year as it has been in the past” says Chuck Moore, Executive Director of the Food Pantry Network. “This past year our volunteers distributed a record 5.3 million pounds” of food.
In 2020, the Food Pantry Network provided 51,000 families with either an eight-day supply of food or fresh produce through one of their Farmers Markets. That accounts for over 5,300,000 pounds of food being distributed to the hungry citizens of Licking County.
The FPNLC has 11 Member Pantries in the City of Newark and 9 in Licking County (outside of Newark- including Denison University), has 9 Meal Site/Shelters and 9 Youth Program Feeding Programs. 9 of these of locations offer seasonal or year-round Free Produce Markets!
There is still time to get involved in the 2021 Operation Feed Campaign. Your assistance toward the goal to “assure that no one in Licking County goes hungry” is greatly needed.
