Bible Study Group...
We are re-convening the Bible study group which had gone into hiatus in January, but this time with a very specific focus. We will be studying the letters of St. Paul to learn from them what we can about the building of viable Christian communities. The pandemic has left our congregations damaged, possibly irreparably. We may have to re-invent ourselves as congregations or as new kinds of community. To do that we are hoping for enlightenment and inspiration out of Paul’s letters. Community-building was his greatest genius; that is what made Christianity thrive. We will begin with his first letter to the Corinthians.
We will be meeting in St. Luke’s Undercroft on a bi-weekly basis, time, and date yet to be determined. The group has six participating at the moment, and if you might be interested in joining us contact me, Jack Bowers, 740-689-9510), Fr. Michael, 516-729-8786 or the Parish Office: office@stlukesgranville.org, 740-587-0167
