We’re taking St. Luke’s on a (short) road trip this Sunday, and heading up to Denison’s Herrick Hall to enjoy a service in the tradition of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • The service will begin at 11 am.

  • You do NOT need to register.

  • Transportation to the entrance of Herrick Hall will be provided for those with mobility issues.

Here’s how it will work:

  • 9:30 am: St. Luke’s doors open as usual

  • 10 am: We will offer Coffee Grounds for discussion around Martin Luther King’s life and legacy, with refreshments & lively and thoughtful conversation.

  • 10:45 am: We will adjourn and drive to Denison campus.

  • Service will take place at Herrick Hall (the round building next to the Library).

  • The parking garage will be open and have abundant free parking.

  • Someone will stand in the parking garage and point the way to Herrick.

  • For those with mobility issues, we have a Denison van that can hold up to 7 passengers.

    • We have permission to drive the van on the sidewalk to the entrance of Herrick.

  • 11 am: The worship service, officiated by the Rev. Tim Carpenter begins.

    • Glorious music will be provided by the Denison Gospel Choir!
