Bats In The Bell Tower

A huge thank you to Geoff Wilson who helped with the evaluation of St. Luke's Bell. He provided a ladder which was used to get to the attic of the church and was the only one brave enough to climb the 20' ladder leading up to the bell. 

The Verdin Bell & Clock Company was scheduled to come out and give us an evaluation and if an inspection was needed or service required. A thank you also to Dave Proctor and Bill Hanes for their historical knowledge during the evaluation.
It was found that the bell is in need of an inspection and further details will follow. At this time the bell will be temporarily out of service until the inspection is done.

On a personal note, I was able to get to the attic level with Geoff and was able to see the bell and tower. It has an amazing history, and we will share it soon with the congregation soon!
