Celebrate Earth Day All Month Long
Let’s celebrate 2023 Earth Day during all of April
St. Luke’s will celebrate Earth Day throughout April! We invite you, your families and friends to join! This year we will honor and celebrate actions from the past, highlight present actions, and plan positive impacts in the future.
Honoring Earth Day Past: St. Luke’s recycling initiative launched in the early 1970s is now manifested as curbside mixed recycling and drop off recycling throughout Licking County! We should be proud of the part we played! A recycling discussion is being planned for April 23rd
Earth Day Present: On Earth Day 2023 we will submit a proposal to the diocese for a $10K grant to improve energy efficiency to tackle the carbon footprint of our beloved buildings!
Moving into Earth Day Future: We invite our parishioners to engage in personal Earth stewardship ministries by joining the Licking County Pollinator Pathways Program, which promotes fostering the native plants that support our native pollinators and other wildlife. Check out their new website to begin your journey now. We also invite you to investigate the Homegrown National Park initiative, a “grassroots call-to-action to regenerate biodiversity” through fostering native plants. We hope you will bring your ideas, questions, and inspiration to St. Luke’s for more discussion!
