Congratulations To The Market Street Pantry

The Episcopal Community Ministries Committee, after careful review if their grant application, has awarded $4000 to the Market Street Pantry Ministry.  

“Thank you for the significant work you are doing in your community addressing food insecurity with empathy, compassion, and caring through the Market Street Pantry. We are happy that your ministry will be supported through the active participation of your congregation and by parish resources as represent in your grant application. We are honored to assist your ministry, your congregation, and all whom you serve. And we pray for your continued success galvanizing your community to fight hunger and feed the hungry.”

These funds will be used to purchase food that will help feed our neighbors in Newark. 9000 people in Licking County have food insecurity. During the last few months, the Market Street Pantry has seen a 35% uptick in new families and many more homeless clients.
