All Saints’ Day & Dia de los Muertos
Join us on November 3rd as we celebrate All Saints' Day and Dia de los Muertos. On that feast day we commemorate and observe the lives of past saints and those among us today.
We invite you to place pictures of loved ones (pets included) who have died upon the ofrenda, an altar to honor lost ones, in the narthex. In the sanctuary to the right of the lectern is another ofrenda of candles. During the prelude or offertory, we invite you to light one candle in memory of all the saints in your life. The larger tapers burn in memory of our St. Luke's family members who have died in the past year: Tim Miley, Peg Bammann, Richard Warren, and Father Rob Matheus.
It is also our Day of Change, recognizing the end of daylight saving time. Please bring your loose change and place in the large bucket in the back of the nave. The loose change will be donated to the Granville Turkey Trot which benefits the Food Pantry Network of Licking County. There will be a coffee hour following the service.
