St. Luke's Event Held December 7th
Looking ahead, we hope you will attend one of the several musical events planned at St. Luke’s during the afternoon of the Candlelight Walking Tour. Our own pianist and organists, Amanda Parker and Kathie Houchens will perform a duet; Celtic Crossing with Danyelle Phelps will play lively Irish music; Bell Rings for Angel Wings and a Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long. We will need members of St. Luke’s to host periodically throughout the afternoon. A sign-up sheet will be available this Sunday.
As we approach the holiday season, I am mindful that there are many who are underserved, isolated, frightened and suffering food insecurity. There are several ways each of us can become involved and reach out: The Market Street Pantry is serving more and more families each week and needs your help to distribute food to clients, especially on Saturday mornings; The Granville Turkey Trot needs volunteers the day of the event; you can attend the monthly service provided by Rev. Reat at Otterbein on the 3rd Sunday of each month; join the Pastoral Care team and make visits to homebound members and friends.
Philippians 2:1-4
So, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
