Thank You, Altar Guild!

This past Sunday the Altar Guild led the congregation in an energetic, tremendous cleaning effort of the church. We are very grateful for their leadership in this effort to dust, mop, wipe, shine, polish and clean. Who knew that cleaning as a community could be so fun! It was satisfying and made short work of a huge project. Don’t be surprised if there is an invitation to repeat the efforts next year!

Embroidered Kneelers

We want to acknowledge and thank Bill and Marsha Hanes for recently taking home the 24 embroidered kneelers and lovingly cleaning and repairing them to the best of their ability, given the condition many are in. “We used fine point tweezers, soft brushes and a nylon covered vacuum hose to remove the dust and dirt.” Many of the kneelers have seen the best of their days. All have been returned to the sanctuary. Going forward, we need to find a way to honor the love and devotion that was committed to each creation. The cost of repairing/preserving each kneeler is quite expensive. Careful thought is being given to this effort.
