A Special Time Of Year
"Bringing Light Into The Darkness"
St. Luke's To Offer A Healing Service
For us Christians, December is a very special month. It is celebrating the birth of Jesus. He came to teach us love, how to be in relationship, and to redeem us. So, we celebrate with lights, laughter, and love.
It is also the time when we most recall our loved ones who are trapped in a compromised body or who have left their earthly body. We may be experiencing other types of losses or the dark fears of today. For centuries humans have used the Winter Solstice to seek healing from these loses and fears. And for the fifth year, St. Luke’s will offer a special healing service so that we can take time out, acknowledge losses - our personal ones, those of others, and the plight of our human race losses worldwide.
Our faith family and others from the surrounding communities will gather in St. Luke’s on the dark night of the Winter Solstice to follow the Way of Love and seek healing. The service will begin with the tolling of the bell at 7 pm. This is a unique service. It will have special music, scripture, prayers of supplication, and a lighting of candles ceremony. The Light of Christ will surely flow into your heart and the healing grace of God will comfort and bless you.
Service will be held in-person at the church (107 E Broadway St., Granville, OH 43023) or via our St. Luke’s YouTube Channel here.
