Priest-in-Charge Pastor Elizabeth Hoster!

A Columbus native, Pastor Elizabeth was ordained to the Diaconate in 2002 and Priesthood in 2003. She has served churches in the dioceses of West Virginia, Ohio, and Southern Ohio, most recently as the Interim Priest in Charge at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Dublin Ohio. Prior to ordination, she was in academic fundraising.

Her favorite areas of ministry are holy listening and pastoral care, preaching, celebrating, and individual and community spiritual formation through story sharing.

Elizabeth believes in lifelong education and participates in ongoing continuing education with Healthy Congregations Inc, the Interim Ministry Network, as well as other organizations. She is a graduate of the University of the South School of Theology, Ohio University, and Culver Girls’ Academy.

Elizabeth enjoys travel, and she is coming to St. Luke's after an extended trip to the desert southwest. She enjoys scuba diving, camping, kayaking, fabric design, storytelling, and music, and is making well-intentioned attempts at learning both guitar and octave mandolin.

Her two CPAs (Canine Pastoral Associates) and travel buddies are Magnus the Norwegian Elkhound and Cody the Catahoula mix. Look forward to seeing lots of them as well!
