An Invitation To St. Luke's Lenten Series

"Nourishing the Soil, Nourishing the Soul"
In her recent letter to the congregation on Ash Wednesday Pastor Elizabeth writes  the “core of living a good Lent is to reconnect with God, both in prayer and in each other.  “St. Luke’s is offering a special Lenten series and opportunities to do just that. The learnings and conversations will begin this Sunday, March 6 and continue for the six Sundays in Lent from 11:15 to 12:00 noon in the undercroft.

Each Sunday will offer new insights and meaningful ways in which we can grow our relationship with God and reconnect with one another through various Lenten practices. Sessions will be offered by Pastor Elizabeth and a host of facilitators including lay ministers and clergy. Session topics will be posted in the Friday newsletter, St. Luke’s website and in the Sunday bulletin.

Join clergy Jack Bowers, Elizabeth Hoster, Roger Nichols, and Mary Raysa for a lively and honest discussion of sermon writing, studying the readings with prayer, and what it's like to interpret scripture out loud. We promise to laugh at ourselves a little while giving you the truth about how the sausage sermon is made!

Facilitated By: Mary Tuominen

Sunday, April 3
