Blue Highways: A Journey Into America   William Least Heat-Moon

Hailed as a masterpiece of American travel writing, Blue Highways is an unforgettable journey along our nation’s back roads. William Least Heat- Moon set out with little more than the need to put home behind him and a sense of curiosity about“those little towns that get on the map -- if they get on at all -- only because some cartographer has a blank space to fill. His adventures, his discoveries, and his recollections of the extraordinary people he encountered along the way amount to a revelation of the true American experience.

Members will meet at 12:30 pm in the Undercroft (unless otherwise noted) to enjoy a light lunch and engaging conversation. The theme of this cycle is “Journey On” and, as you review the titles below, you’ll see that they focus on a range of journeys from the spiritual to the personal to the political. Multiple copies of each title will be provided by the Granville Public Library. All members as well as friends of St. Luke’s are welcome to participate.
