Granville Turkey Trot Presents Check
The 2024 Granville Turkey Trot has once again proven the power of community, raising an incredible $131,000 to benefit the Licking County Food Pantry Network. Since it was launched in 2005 by volunteers from St. Luke’s Church, Granville’s annual Thanksgiving tradition has grown to embrace the entire community, bringing together runners, walkers, volunteers, and supporters from across the area to make a meaningful impact in the fight against food insecurity.
Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and donors, this year’s event will provide essential support to families and individuals in need throughout Licking County. Every dollar raised contributes to the Food Pantry Network’s mission of ensuring no one in the community goes hungry.
"We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support," said Chuck Moore, executive director of the Licking County Food Pantry Network. "The funds raised will go directly toward providing meals, groceries, and resources to those who need them most. Together, we are making a difference."
“The Granville Turkey Trot is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community spirit and giving back,” said Michele Layman. “We couldn’t make this happen without our generous community sponsors, including our premiere sponsors, the Allan Marlow Family Foundation, Integrity Wealth Group, and the Granville Community Foundation.”
“This year’s turnout was one of the best yet,” said Michelann Scheetz. “More than 2,000 runners showed up on Thanksgiving morning. And I want to give a huge shout-out to our team and volunteers, who make this happen every year, like clockwork.”
