Meet Fr. Joseph Kovitch
The Vestry invited me to introduce myself as I am currently inhabiting an office in your parish house. My name is Rev. Dr. Joseph Kovitch, and I currently serve full-time on the bishop’s staff as a Missioner for New Episcopal Communities. I also support parishes in the Columbus area. I am grateful to the Vestry of St. Luke’s for allowing me to occupy an office while you search for your next rector. Believe me, it is so nice to have a home base a mile from my home as my wife Marie and I live in the Spring Valley area of Granville. A good portion of my time, I travel throughout the diocese and spend time meeting in coffee shops and parishes. Having a home office for even a brief time is a blessing. My work as a missioner has been focused on development, community engagement, new communities, church planting, and exploring how the Episcopal presence can show up in places where it isn’t currently serving through a parish. Marie and I have lived in Granville for the past ten years and have two grown sons, one cat, and two dogs. Again, thank you for the space. You are in my prayers during your time of discernment.
In Christ’s service,
Fr. Joseph Kovitch
