Book Club In January
St. Luke’s Book Club looks forward to another year of reading and sharing an exciting selection of books with our members and friends of St. Luke’s. As in years past, we will meet in the Undercroft, but at a new time, 1:30 pm, and lighter fare of simple nibbles/treats instead of lunch. The open conversations of the selected books will continue! Our theme. this year is “Women in Their Own Words”, with a range of memoirs written by women, all of whom have had an out-sized impact on society. All members as well as friends of St. Lukes are welcome. Please email your intent to participate to the church office at office@stlukesgranville.org

The Truths We Hold: An American Journey
Kamala Harris
By reckoning with the big challenges we face together, drawing on the hard-won wisdom and insight from her own career and the work of those who have most inspired her, Kamala Harris offers in The Truths We Hold a master class in problem solving, in crisis management, and leadership in challenging times. Through the arc of her own life, on into the great work of our day, she communicates a vision of shared struggle, shared purpose, and shared values. In a book rich in many home truths, not least is that a relatively small number of people work very hard to convince a great many of us that we have less in common than we actually do.
